Hi Sally After 9 months we would expect fibrosis in the recovering tendon. So, Shockwave would not be contraindicated. There will be a MTP in the affected muscle, so address that and the tendon. The molecular studies for tendon healing using shockwave point out the increase in MMPs and ADAMTs (Waugh et al, 2015). The degenerate and remodel ECM of tendons. So, the part of the tendon, which is still tendon should react top shockwave favourably Sorry for the tardy response but the site was hacked into :( Cliff
